White Willow Extract is obtained from the barks of the Willow tree, scientifically known as Salix alba that belongs to the family Salicaceae. The bark contains an active component called salicin, which converts to salicylic acid, a precursor of aspirin. The bark has antipyretic and analgesic properties, thus used in the traditional system of medicine to relieve pain and fever.
