Banaba, or Lagerstroemia speciosa, is a tree, which belongs to the genus Lagerstroemia, also known as Crape Myrtle. The leaves contain more than 40 beneficial compounds, of which corosolic acid and ellagic acid are the prime with potent anti-oxidant activities.
